About Us at Unique Alpacas
Our California Alpaca Farm
Unique Alpacas was established in November of
2007. Our alpaca ranch is located in Jamul, California, 20
miles east of "Americas Finest City"—San Diego.
Our alpaca journey started like many others, with a TV commercial.
From there we had an immediate interest in these beautiful
and gentle animals. The interest grew into months of lengthy
Internet searches, ranch visits and alpaca shows.
One day while speaking with a business partner,
he mentioned a family friend that owned a large alpaca ranch
in Mora, New Mexico (Victory Ranch). I persuaded him to make
a call so we could visit for three days and work on their
ranch with over 200 alpacas. The experience proved to be invaluable
and before we left the ranch we purchased our first alpacas
(three females): Angel, Bethany and Sopa. They were soon joined
by others and the herd continued to grow with carefully selected
acquisitions of full Peruvian and full Chilean genetics. We
have formed our foundation herd from the best blood lines
in Peru, Chili & the United States.
Our herd development and breeding criteria have been implemented
with full Peruvian and Accoyo genetics for the white, beige
and brown colors and full Chilean genetics in the grey and

Our bloodlines include: K-2, Accoyo Peruvian Caligula, Accoyo
Peruvian Felix, Accoyo Peruvian Leon, Accoyo Peruvian Peter
the Great, Peruvian Pay Day, Sinopsis Nocturna, Patagonia's
Midnight Mojo, Crescent Moon's Kryptonite, and Avalon's Black
Total Eclipse.
By forming a ranching operation, we're able to provide clients
with full support and
offer a variety of high quality alpacas at affordable prices.
Our intent is to deliver Unique Alpacas into a full-service
operation providing a complete business and alpaca ranch support
